Lately

We think we owe you all a little update ;)

Last Friday night Josh & I went to Wal-Mart to pick up our futon mattress for the frame we got at a thrift shop. When we got home we set up camp in the living room with a salad & wrap from Baby Greens and a movie. Saturday we took a 3 hour, or so, walk through a new part of Barton Creek we've never seen. The weather was beautiful, in the 70's. After our walk we went over to Home Slice Pizza for a pitcher of Lonestar and a Margarita pizza out on the back patio. It was really the perfect ending to our long walk to sit in the sun, drink some ice cold beers & eat some delicious pizza! The rest of the night we spent hanging out & Sunday we ran some errands and played frisbee in the park. The wind was kicking our asses and ruining our game, so we went home to watch the Cardinals vs. the Steelers.

The week was busy, both of us working. I got fitted for my bride's maid dress for Kristi's wedding on Tuesday. and Wednesday I made Mucho Margarita cupcakes to send to New Jersey for Mom's birthday. (which was on Thursday the 5th, Happy Birthday, Mom!!)

This past Friday we went to Hickory Street for beers & food. Afterward, we headed to see the video premiere for the new Alien Workshop video, Mind Field, hosted by No Comply skate shop. It was a lot of fun and I always enjoy a skateboard event Josh takes me to. Saturday was first Saturday at Independent Brewery but the wind was too much to sit in a parking lot to drink free beer. We took the bus to Maria's for some tacos and later on took a walk to Stacy Park. The wind had calmed down a bit & it turned out to be a beautiful night. Since it was so nice we walked down to the SoCo district on South Congress to see what people were up to. We sat on a ledge & people watched for a little bit. Hey Cupcake was too tempting not to stop, so we shared a 24 Carrot before heading home. Leading us to today where we went food shopping & now I am making this blog!

Also, big news!! Juli comes to visit this Wednesday-Monday and I couldn't be more excited!! I have big plans for her visit, we're going to have a blast.

The Tuesday after Juli leaves (boo!) Josh & I are taking a cooking class together at Whole Foods Culinary Center. The class is called Hot! Hot! Hot! We'll be making barbecued stuffed paneer, andhra chicken curry, spinach toor dal, apple cumin raita and basmati rice. The following Thursday I'll be taking the class Icing on the Cake. I'm extemely excited to be able to take some cooking classes, especially cake decorating!

Things have been going pretty well here in Austin. We haven't been updating as much now that we have jobs. I'm currently working on getting the videos onto the computer. Something's wrong with my camera & it's been having issues taking videos off, which is why there's been a dely in those.

Expect some photos & video's shortly! (I hope.. I'm still fighting with the camera, grr)

xoxo,

Danielle
